GAUSHALA

Ghosala, NagammaGudi, Chittedu Village, Gudur District, AP.

Naga Matha Temple's gaushala is a dedicated sanctuary that provides lifetime shelter and care for cows, bulls, and calves. These shelters are vital to preserving indigenous cattle breeds, supporting organic agriculture, and maintaining ethical and spiritual traditions of non-violence. â€‹

Our Gaushalas promote organic farming by utilizing cow dung and urine to produce natural fertilizers, biopesticides, and biogas. Temple Located in Mid of Splendid agriculture field our cow dung is used by farmers nearly as natural fertilizer in exchange for straw which is again feed to cows.

In Hindu tradition, the cow (Gau Mata) is considered sacred because 33 fundamental Devatas (deities), along with millions of other positive cosmic energies, reside within her body. Often misunderstood as 33 "crores" (330 million), the Sanskrit word koti actually means "category" or "types" of, below are the types.

Temples Gau samrakshanaThe Origin

Gau samrakshana has been an Intergyral part of Indian Culture and has been the  same to us as well. With the Blessings of our divine Mother Jaganmatha and  Pujiya Shree Guruji, we in ashram started with 2 cows and now it we  are blessed with 50 cows and calves still growing in number.

In the culture of Ashram, cow's milk is utilized only for the calves and for prasadham purpose.

Every Friday Gaupooja for the cows are been performed by the devotees who are locally present.
